Well, my cousin Alex Little just got home TODAY (July 13th, 2008) from serving a 2 year mission for our church in Utica, New York. For those of you who are not Mormon let me explain a few things. When young men turn 19 they are asked to serve a 2 year mission for our church. Throughout these 2 years they do not have any contact with family members other than through email once a week and letters in the mail. They are allowed to call their families on Christmas and Mother's day. So Alex has finally completed his mission and is back in Texas! The whole family eagerly hurried to the airport this evening to greet him as he got off the plane with his parents. We all wore I Love NY shirts, had a lot of posters, and balloons! It was very exciting and a lot of fun! He still looks the same just a little taller and extremely mature! He is a great guy and has grown a lot over the past 2 years and has had some very life changing experiences and has had a wonderful effect and influence over a lot of people that he served throughout his mission. Unfortunately a lot happened while he was gone. Alex left in July of 2006 and then Amanda and Travis got married in August. Alex's parents moved into a new house in December 2006, Ryan and I got married in December, Jessica had Shawnee in February 2007, Hillary got married in July 2007, and then Amanda found out she was pregnant around December 2007. Alex has a lot of catching up to do!!!! Below are some pictures of his homecoming at the airport for your viewing pleasure!!!!!!
