Taste of Dallas is becoming an annual tradition in our household! We have been 3 years together and Ryan went 1 year by himself because I was sick. (He was so very sweet and brought me home some Texas De Brazil!) Anyways...this is a very fun event where tons of restaurants in the DFW area come and set up a booth and sell generous sample portions of different foods ranging from $1-$3 per item. This was the 2nd year the event was held at Fair Park and they have been able to expand their horizons a bit. Both automobile buildings featured many activities for kids, pet adoptions, advertisements for various companies, many food samples, and much more. It is also nice to have a place to cool off! This year we tried various foods from Texas De Brazil (garlic sirloin and Brazilian sausage), Blue Mesa Grill (sweet potato chips with fire roasted salsa), McDonalds (gave away free samples of pineapple mango smoothies!), Riscky's BBQ (bbq sandwich)...Ryan also had some red beans & rice from a restaurant I can't remember the name of and a Korean taco from some Korean restaurant that only serves food from their RV type thing. All in all it was a great event and we had a lot of fun!!!!!
