Labor Day Weekend

We had a GREAT Labor Day weekend!!! Ryan was able to take Friday off so we got him all to ourselves for 4 whole days...it was SO NICE!!!!! We started off Friday morning going to breakfast at a new restaurant in Rockwall called The Fatted Calf! It was quite delicious and I highly recommend it for breakfast...never tried the lunch before! For my local friends...it is owned by the same people as Zanata (the pizza place on the square). We then went into Dallas to get some Ranger tickets and do a few other things. Then Friday night we kept my friend's 2 kids overnight so she and her husband could celebrate their 9th anniversary!!!!!!!! The kids were SO GOOD and we had a lot of fun with them!!! We took them to dinner at Chick-Fil-A, which was a big hit, and then we came home and gave them jello for dessert! After the little guy went to bed, I let the big girl stay up and I painted her nails and toes! The next day we took them to the Farmers Market and the donut store...another big hit!!! Then it was time for their parents to come get them! All in all it went wonderfully and we really enjoyed having them!!!!

Saturday we went to my parent's house to celebrate my Uncle's 50th birthday!!! We ate cake and gave him gifts and watched him and his 2 little girls swim for a bit! It was a nice and relaxing day with family!

Sunday was low key! We just went to church, came home and napped, and then fixed dinner and watched the Aggies BTHO Smu!!!!!!!! What a great start to the season!!

Monday we made a quick run to Gymboree because they were having a sale, and then we came home and Ryan worked in the yard for a good while. Monday night we had a great group of friends over for a cookout!! Ryan cooked grilled chicken with herbs from our garden and he slow grilled/cooked a pork tenderloin with homemade mango salsa!! It was delicious! Then our friends brought several YUMMY things as well!!!! I think a great time was had by all!!!!!
