Every year we make an annual trip to the State Fair of TX! (minus last year since Chloe was just born) We had a GREAT time as always and Chloe held up well!!!! It was her kind of place...lots and lots to look at!!!! We caught the DART at Mockingbird Station (where Chloe was infatuated with the Pigeons) and rode it all the way to the Fair. First on the agenda was get coupons and head straight for the fresh squeezed lemonade!!!! Now this folks, is not just ANY lemonade, it's THE BEST lemonade you'll ever have! They actually call it a lemonade shaker and add a few orange slices with some orange juice, sugar, etc. and it is YUM!!! I drank 3 cups of that lemonade and yes it was $5 a cup, but worth every last dollar!!!!!!!!! We did lots of walking around seeing all the various exhibits, crafts, and displays. We also saw a cooking show and a bird show. Chloe LOVES to look at birds in the sky and she talks to them all the time, so needless to say she was in Heaven at the bird show. We also ate a corn dog, funnel cake, and the most delicious taco I've ever had in my life!!!!!! Right in the middle they had several performances and when we first arrived there were belly dancers out there and I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that if your stomach isn't flat, and you weigh say more than 150 lbs you probably shouldn't be out there. (I don't mean that rudely at all, but I was slightly embarrassed for those girls.) We also saw some really great Mexican dancers with their big skirts and they did a GREAT job and Chloe loved all the colors!!! All in all it was a great day!!
